Working on the Final Project

I wanted to create a dream world for a small boy. I wanted first to rodoscope the boy and then create a dark forest. First things first, rodoscoping took much more time than I realized but the final product looks great!

I have an idea for a whole short story which I will continue to work on but for now this took my whole 4 weeks. I already have all the footage for my short :D

Week 1: Gather my actors and set a date to shoot.

Week 2: Edit my short

Week 3: Rodoscope

Week 4: Make the backgrounds

With the background I did a threshold time effect, added a 3d layer and a light to make the boy stand out from the background. I also used the multiply affect w/ this slate:

Hopefully, once I finish my whole short I will post that up here as well. For now this is what I currently have... Enjoy!

Green Screen Assignment

I used the Key 1.2 effect and chose the green. Then I downloaded the video of beyonce and enlarged it to seem like the background.. it ended up being a little blurry but I like it :D

About Me

Hello there! My name is Sonia Melendez I am a third year RTF major. I first wanted to be a director but the more we worked on projects the more I got interested in Post-Production more than directing - specifically editing. I am really interested in special effects and animation as well, however, and am looking forward to this class!
I work at the Digital Media Labs on the fourth floor usually just trouble-shooting Final Cut. I also work at the Texas Performing Arts making their fundraising videos. I'm interning under a local film company named Twitchy Dolphin Flix as their editor. I'm a workaholic sadly, lol. When I'm not working I enjoy playing video games!
I also enjoy watching horror movies and I am a fanatic of Batman so my drawings tend to be a little darker because of it. Some of the people I like are Guillermo Del Toro, Stanley Kubrick and Ridley Scott.
