Hispanic in Korea - Diary Vlog 10 Latin American Cultural Center Museum

Hello there! I went to the Latin American Cultural Center Museum in Gyeonggi-do. It took about 1 1/2 hours to get there from Seoul. I live in Gangnam so I had to take the the green line (2) to Seoul National University and transfer to the orange line (2) to Samson station. That itself is an hour but then we took 1/2 hour bus ride once we got to the city.

This place is VERY remote. Once the bus drops you off you have to walk about a mile until you get to the destination.

Directions
Samsong Station (Subway Line 3), Exit 8.
Take Bus 053/333/330/703, and get off at Goyangdong Shijang (Market).

BUT, once I got there I appreciated that it was so remote. THE AREA IS GORGEOUS. It is completely covered in beautiful flowers and greenery. I loved it. The land is so spacious too so they could spread out the sculptures and you could literally spend the whole day just walking around and basking in the glory.

I highly recommend this place if you are Latin. There are so many ancestral pieces - it's just magnificent.

You have to walk a bit to get here. As soon as the bus drops you off walk to your left. Keep walking you will come to a hill and see this sign!

This is the only Latin Center in Asia!

Hispanic in Korea - Diary Vlog 9 Hwacheon Ice Trout Festival

The ice festival was held in Hwacheon - about 3 hours away from Seoul. It was so much fun! There were so many activities like ice fishing, bare hand fishing, sledding, tubing...

I had never seen that much ice before we even got to see ice sculptures. Winter in Korea hasn't been that bad!!

Jordan and I tried the bare handed fishing... it was literally the dumbest/coolest idea ever. I don't regret it but IT WAS FREEZING. I think I was in the water for a total of 1 minute haha. You can see me in the video getting out asap.

After we did the deed

Before the actual bare handed fishing... when we realized...SHIT that's cold

I actually caught a fish ice fishing!!!!

Overall it was super fun and I would definitely go again. I went with the group Wink (When in Korea) from Facebook. Check them out!
